AJ Construction and Development LLC is a residential remodeling company founded in August of 1998. We work with homeowners, architects & interior designers to perform remodeling, renovating, & home improvement services. We are licensed & insured in Maryland & the District of Columbia. As a general contractor we manage & perform on many different types of residential building projects such as Additions, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Full Renovations, Interior Remodeling & Basement Buildouts. We self-perform basic home improvement tasks related to carpentry, drywall, painting, door & window work, siding, minor masonry & general property & apartment maintenance. Our primary focus is working in partnership with our clients on projects big & small to fulfill their construction needs & improve the value, quality of life & enjoyment they receive from their living spaces.
Over the years as we’ve grown, made mistakes, learned & improved, we’ve come to understand the importance of not only turning out projects on time & on budget but also the overall experience we create for our clients throughout the construction process. Most construction work by nature is invasive & disruptive, therefore we always perform our work with our client’s security, health, routines, finances & overall wellbeing in mind. This is the primary reason we’ve remained a small company & resisted the trend of subcontracting all our trade work out to others. We still self-perform on all our projects, & our principal members are involved in the day-to-day aspects of every project we take on.
Our approach is collaborative, our attitude is cooperative & we perform our work in partnership with our clients and subcontractors. We set realistic schedules for all projects & will not accept more projects at one time than we can handle in a thorough & professional manner. We select our suppliers & subcontractors based on their expertise, ability to produce quality work & to handle our projects in a timely manner. We maintain open & honest communications with our clients, suppliers & subcontractors. We answer our clients’ questions & return phone calls during work hours promptly to ensure effective communication flow.
